CONTROLLED BURN
Synopsis:
Claire’s house burns down in a California wildfire, setting off a series of events that forces her to face parts of her life that she has been denying for too long, including her husband’s infidelity and her mother’s mental illness. A contemporary, small-cast comedic drama, Controlled Burn is a play about dying and living and how we find our way through both.

PATTY BONNELL holds a BA in Theatre from Western Washington University. She recently returned to acting after a long hiatus, and has played a demonic mermaid, a gun-wielding art critic, a ditsy waitress and everything in-between. Patty has been seen at West of Lenin, 12th Avenue Arts Center, Annex Theatre, Stone Soup, Latino Theatre Projects, Burien Actors Theatre, Driftwood Players, and others.
JASON CONNELLY is thrilled to be back on the Seattle stage with MonoMyth’s production of Controlled Burn. He was born and raised in the Seattle community of Ballard. While attending Ballard High School, he was introduced to theatre and mentor Earl Kelly and knew acting and storytelling was for him. He has performed in various stage, commercial, TV, and film productions in the Seattle area. Jason studied at Cornish College of the Arts receiving his BFA in Acting.
ASHLEY SALAZAR is ecstatic to be performing in Controlled Burn with a wonderful team of storytellers.  She has previously worked on The Passion of Antigona Perez (Thriving Artists), Just Short of Crazy, as well as Voices of Courage in conjunctionwith the YWCA in Tacoma. She has trained at the University of Idaho, Freehold's Meisner Progression and has recently returned from a Summer Intensive at the William Espers Studio in New York.
